Is there anything I need to do prior to my first scheduled appointment?
A patient portal email link will be emailed to you once you schedule your appointment. Please register for this patient portal and complete all new client paperwork and consent forms that are listed prior to your fits appointment.
What should I expect at my first session?
Your first session will be a time where your therapist can learn more about you, gather your history, discuss your symptom list, and establish therapy goals. Please be sure to bring in your insurance card and form of payment for this session. Sessions are usually 53-60 minutes in length.
How can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Please call or text our main office line at 859-338-0466 if you need to adjust or change your appointment. Please be aware that we need a 24 hour notice or the cancellation is subject to a $90 fee.
Where are you located?
Our address is 501 Darby Creek Road, Suite 11, Lexington, KY 40509.
- Darby Creek Road is located between Todds/Liberty Road and Palumbo Drive off of Man-O-War on the Hamburg side of town. The Darby Creek office is located off the cul-de-sac part of the road (if you end up by the apartments in a residential area, then you went the wrong way on Darby Creek Rd).
- The “501 Darby Creek” address is the address for the whole business complex and you will see 501 on the side of the first set of buildings. Our building is located partway through the complex and is on the right-hand side as you pull in. Please look for the gold colored plaques on the door to locate suite 11. We also have a gold plaque that says “Offices of Paul Dalton.”
Where do I check in for my appointment once I arrive?
Once you arrive, please find a seat in your lobby as soon as you enter. Your therapist will greet you and escort you back to their therapy office at your scheduled appointment time. We have 3 floors and there are signs to direct you to your provider’s floor. If you end up in the wrong waiting room, don’t worry, your provider will check the other lobbies. If you are waiting longer than 10 minutes, please call our main office number at 859-338-0466. Bathrooms can be found in each of our kitchenette areas. Water stations are also available at the end of each hallway.
What services typically require specialized treatment or approaches and may not be a good fit for us?
Our providers specialize in treating all general mental health conditions, such as, trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, relational and marital problems, OCD, ADHD, and mood disorders. If you are seeking care for an emotional support animal, fit to duty, parenting evaluations, custody concerns, or have an active court case that you are needing supportive services for, we typically refer out for more specialized care.
