Where is the office located?


Our office is located at 448 Lewis Hargett Circle, Suites 240 and 260. When you arrive, look for "448" displayed on the side of the building. The building is situated in the back left corner of the complex. Once inside, proceed to the second floor, where you'll find Lexington Counseling & Psychiatry. We occupy both Suite 240 and Suite 260. Signs in the hallway list each provider's name and will direct you to the appropriate waiting room for your appointment.


What should I do once I arrive?


You will enter through one of the suite doors and walk directly into our waiting room. We do not have a receptionist so there is no need to check in. Please come in and have a seat and make yourself comfortable. Your therapist will come out to greet you at the time of your appointment. If you have waited more than 15 minutes, please call our office at 859-338-0466 and our admin staff will assist you.


How do I complete the paperwork?


When you sign up as a new client with our administrative staff, an email will be sent to you asking you to set up a portal. Please note the link to the portal is only good for 48 hours. The new client paperwork forms will be assigned to you in your portal. Please complete each form to the best of your knowledge and your clinician will go over everything during the first session with you. If you are unable to access the portal, please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow for time to complete a paper copy of the paperwork located on either side of our waiting area on a clipboard. 


What should I expect at the first session?


Your first session will be a time where your therapist can learn more about you, gather your history, discuss your symptom list, and establish therapy goals. Please be sure to bring in your insurance card and form of payment for this session. Sessions are usually 53-60 minutes in length. 


What payment do you accept?


At the first session your therapist will confirm whether you are using insurance, an Employee Assistance Plan or Self Pay. At each session you attend your therapist will let you know what your amount is, whether it is a copay or deductible amount. Payment is due at the time of each service and the therapist will collect payment from you. We accept all major cards as well as cash and checks
