Joelle Schuster, LCSW, is Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 14 years of experience providing therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Nazareth College of Rochester and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the (SUNY) University at Buffalo. 

Joelle has experience providing individual mental health therapy, parental coaching, and child-led play therapy for clients of all ages. She works with a variety of presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, conduct disorder, ADHD, substance use, grief, family relationship and dynamic issues, and child behavior concerns.  She will incorporate techniques from CBT, child-centered play therapy, mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, person-centered therapy, solutions-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. She strives to help clients understand and manage their presenting stressors and behaviors, improve executive functioning, improve social skills and relationships, and build emotional intelligence and regulation.

As your therapist she will work with you to identify the goals that will help you live the life you want to live and better understand yourself. She believes you are the expert on yourself, and she is a knowledgeable guide to help lead you to your own changes. She hopes coming to her office can be a warm, supportive, and welcoming respite from the complexity of daily life and she looks forward to working with you!
