Amber Marcum is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker independently licensed to provide mental health services in the state of Kentucky. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and later completed her master’s degree in social work, both from the University of Kentucky. Amber has worked in the Social Work field for 8 years.
Throughout her career, Amber has supported adults from various backgrounds and with a wide range of mental health needs. She has provided services in hospital settings and outpatient community mental health, gaining experience with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and adjustment difficulties.
Amber is trained in several evidence‑based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These approaches allow her to help clients understand patterns that impact daily life, process difficult experiences, and develop practical skills for meaningful change.
Amber believes in meeting clients where they are and supporting them in identifying and achieving their personal goals.
